SPECIAL
ALERT
Maintenance workers at Albert Lea Medical Center Hospital in Albert Lea, which is owned by the Mayo Foundation, have rejected a proposal for a new contract Wednesday, January 3rd. The workers also authorized Local 21 to call a strike if necessary. Along with the maintenance contract, a general contract covering nursing assistants, escorts, dietary, and housekeeping employees was rejected Monday, January 15th. Those workers also authorized a strike. The maintenance contract expired in September and the general contract expired in November.
Their fight is for a decent standard of living:
An injustice to one is an injustice to all. All H.E.R.E. Local 21 members must be ready to support and help our Union brothers and sisters in Albert Lea.
In Solidarity,
Your Contract Committee
